CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

Support to E-commerce and Digital Trade Platforms in the MENA Region

July 2026

The regional programme “Digital Trade & E-Commerce in the MENA Region” invites high-potential e-commerce and digital trade platforms in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia to apply for a technical support programme to scale, innovate, and expand into regional and EU markets.

For the purpose of this call, a platform is defined as a digital marketplace that enables multiple sellers and buyers to conduct online commercial transactions by providing core functionalities such as product listing, ordering, payment processing, and order management, and may integrate logistics, customer support, and compliance services. Platforms can be product or service focused.

The regional programme "Digital Trade and E-Commerce in the MENA Region" is co-funded by the European Union (DG MENA) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ and the International Trade Centre (ITC). It aims to develop e-commerce and digital trade in the South Mediterranean region to enhance business opportunities and foster decent job creation, in cooperation with the public and the private sectors. The programme covers eight countries — Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, and Tunisia, with national implementation activities in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia.
